About

I grew up as a middle child in a big family in Westphalia/Germany.
Quiet, observant but cheerful I loved to dance and change outfits about four times a day. When I was eight years old I wanted to become an archaeologist and loved digging up things around the local building sites.
At 14 I found my grandmother’s old sewing machine in the family’s basement and started sewing. Whatever material I came across in the house I used for my first projects: bed linen, bandages, curtains… After finishing school I trained as a dressmaker in my hometown Muenster and studied fashion design in Hamburg. Following my heart I later moved to Dublin where I have been living ever since beside the sea with my husband and son. I still love digging. With a mixture of doubts, fears, curiosity and passion I keep searching, collecting and making things.
